Ayurveda
Ayurveda offers a holistic healing system that guides individuals towards vibrant health and the realization of full human potential. Considered a medical science in the West and a way of life in the East, this preventative health system seeks to uncover the root causes of disease or sickness to free people up to a thriving path. Health according to Ayurveda derives from the balancing and alignment of body, mind and spirit in relation to the environment. The notion that humans embody nature and vice versa serves as a foundation for the entire cosmology. Through lifestyle and diet guidelines, proper care of the senses, herbs, massage treatments, breathing and meditation practices along with the harmonization of daily and seasonal routines with nature’s rhythms and cycles, Ayurveda offers a blueprint for a joyous life.
Ayurveda respects the uniqueness of each individual and their respective environment, which prompts a customized approach to meet the needs of each individual. All individuals live in different physical environments, with varying types of work/roles, personal interests, associated groups, family systems, etc… that factor into the health and wellness for each individual. Interwoven into this living system approach, Ayurveda demonstrates an application of natural therapies, treatments and dietary recommendations without synthetics or chemicals and an emphasis on a middle path and moderation, a principle derived from nature.
Recognizing that human beings are a part of nature, Ayurveda describes three fundamental energies or doshas that exist in nature and us that govern an individual’s inner and outer environments: movement, transformation, and structure. Known in Sanskrit as Vata (Wind), Pitta (Fire), and Kapha (Earth), these primary forces form the makeup of our mind and body. All individuals have a unique combination of each of these three energies from birth, with most people exhibiting one or two more fully throughout our lives. There exists common qualities for each of the doshas and known strategies for balancing each of the energies. It is believed that sickness or disease begins with an individual doshic imbalance and therefore taking steps to maintain balance with one’s energies can allow for stable health along with ongoing wellbeing practices can open up space for self-actualization exploration. All in all, Ayurveda works with people to discover an individual’s energetic makeup, determine where imbalances exist, offer interventions to reestablish balance and guide people towards increased levels of individual consciousness and potential.
Naturefy asserts that the same principles that Ayurveda uses to tune the body/mind/spirit of an individual, can be applied to businesses, groups of people and communities. It is the premise of Naturefy that the success of any organization is intertwined with the overall health and wellness of each individual working together to make up the whole company. The method for businesses involves working long-term with companies to understand the Ayurvedic nature of the company and identify imbalances through conceptualizing a company as a body. A robust toolbox of Ayurvedic counseling/sustainable business consulting is applied to calibrate the business system and bring about deeper levels of mindfulness, success and workforce happiness. Naturefy also provides simultaneous one-on-one counseling with each executive (ideally all members of the company) to ensure individuals and the organization are growing synergistically into themselves and the company and into their places of work within the larger community.
